Supporting wine education and excellence in wine is one of the pillars of Austrian Wine. Over the past 25 years Austrian Wine Academy - affiliated to Austrian Wine Marketing Board - has developed into the largest wine education center on the continent. There are two top-level educational events that will take place at the Academy just before and after VIEVINUM wine fair that will take place in Vienna from June 4th - 6th 2016.
Before the fair: WSET Diploma in Rust and Vienna 2016
This new WSET Diploma course has been developed between WSET, Austrian Wine Academy and Istituto Grandi Marchi in Italy. It will start with a first block in Rust from May 25th to June 3rd 2016 just ahead of VIEVINUM. A second Diploma block will run in Rust and at Palais Coburg/Vienna from November 4th to November 9th 2016. The third block will take place in Palazzo Antinori /Florence from March 30th to April 7th 2017. Study trips will take students to leading wine regions and wineries in Austria and Italy. We can highly recommend this course and we will support potential students with bursaries to cover study and travel costs. At the fair: Free IMW briefing session June 5th at 3 - 4.30 pm, Vienna
The Institute of Masters of Wine is holding a free one-hour information session at the VieVinum wine fair at Burgzimmer on Sunday, June 5th at 3 pm. Those interested in the MW study programme and want to find out more about MW may wish to attend this free MW briefing session “Introduction to the Master of Wine” with an international team of Masters of Wine.
