A night within the walls of a prestigious Champagne House offering a totally unique experience has today become possible! The private mansion of the Maison de Venoge champagne house, in the heart of Epernay on the Avenue de Champagne, has enlarged its public space with the opening of four guest rooms “Les Suites du 33” and a champagne bar “L’Ecurie”. A unique setting to welcome visitors who come from all around the world to admire the Hillsides, Houses and Cellars of Champagne that have been inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage list.
THE ART OF HOSPITALITY
With the creation of two spaces perfect for receiving guests, the de Venoge private mansion celebrates the royal heritage of this Champagne house, but with an eye resolutely turned to the future. They evoke the splendour and the grandeur of the 18th century and the Belle Epoque, in the image of the Cuvee des Princes, first issued in 1864 and recently revisited by de Venoge. From October of 2016 visitors from the world over will be able to enjoy tasting champagne, sharing a drink with friends or indulging in an extended stay in the new guest rooms. The project is in harmony with the classification as a UNESCO World Heritage site of the Hillsides, Houses and Cellars of Champagne on the 4th July 2015, and, more specifically, that of the development of the Avenue de Champagne at Epernay.
A SPIRIT OF «NOBLESSE OBLIGE»
If the guests of the Maison de Venoge have until now had the privilege of tasting the house champagnes in the drawing rooms of its private mansion, they will now have the pleasure of being able to stay in its residential quarters “Les Suites du 33”. For the Maison has inaugurated 4 exquisitely decorated rooms of great refinement and elegance. Each room offers its own unique décor, influenced by the choice of fabric designed by Manuel Canovas, mounted on canvas and echoed in the soft furnishings. If the ambiance of the salons is one of luxurious opulence, the private rooms offer every modern comfort in a superbly cosy, refined setting. An apartment will complete this residential offering from the month of November 2016.
BETWEEN LUXURY AND SOPHISTICATION
From the beginning of October the Maison will inaugurate its champagne bar and boutique “L’Ecurie” in the former outbuildings situated opposite the historic mansion, directly facing the “Suites du 33”. Here, epicureans will be able to taste the de Venoge champagnes and a selection of exceptional spirits, and also enjoy a range of meticulously selected dishes (plates of gourmet cold meats, smoked salmon from a local craftsman, caviar, mozzarella di Buffala…). A boutique will also open its doors this autumn, showcasing the entire range of de Venoge champagnes, with the possibility of chilled bottles available to take away. And the finishing touch of a terrace will be completed ready for next summer.
