On Monday, 26th October, for the first time in the history of Chapoutier, 6 mathusalems (6L bottle) of the 2010 vintage – historically one of the best vintage ever in the Rhone Valley – will be released in a unique coffret with only the most extraordinary Selection Parcellaire from Ermitage: le Pavillon red, De L’Oree white, Le Meal red and white as well as L’Ermite red and white. 6 astonishing wines with 4 times 100 points Parker score as well as 2 times 99 points.

For this very unique occasion, Chapoutier have chosen to partner with Le Clos the award winning fine retailer based who have an established reputation for bringing rare and unique products to market. Located in Dubai at the cross roads to the world, Le Clos is the perfect partner to bring such a special product to the global consumer. Michel Chapoutier himself will be in Dubai to host a masterclass in the prestigious surroundings of the Burj Al Arab. Guests at the masterclass will have the rare opportunity to taste the 2010 vintage, that will be served from 75cl bottles, and Mr. Chapoutier will share his unique insight on 3 top back vintages wines, served in magnum: Le Pavillon red 1990, De L’Orée 2009 and L’Ermite red 2003.

Each Sélection Parcellaire comes from specific plots (from 0,5 ha for Ermite Blanc to 4 ha for le Pavillon), planted with old vines (60 years on average). Here Biodynamic Farming really makes sense. Michel Chapoutier works on the difference of taste and seeks the greatest refinement, through a rising tide between nose and mouth, with a real length on the palate.
