The Sovereign Military Order of Malta is the oldest humanitarian organization in the world which was founded to care for the pilgrims during the crusades and still offers medical services, soical activities and disaster relief in over 120 countries today. Percursor of the Red Cross, the Order has its own constitution, passports, stamps and public institutions, and diplomatic relations with 104 countries.
