Production increases and export grows worldwide
Prosecco Superiore is still growing in terms of production and sales worldwide. In 2014 the export of Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore Docg increased in value by 10,8%, attaining a turnover of 146.5 million Euros and 31,9 million bottles exported, with an average price of 4,59 Euro per bottle. Europe represents the reference market with a overall turnover of 119,6 million euros. The export value in the non-European countries attains 29,6 million Euros (5,6 million bottles). All that is related to a general production increased by 403,6 million Euros, equal to 79,2 million bottles, in 2014. These are the official data presented in December 2015 by the Consortium of Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore Docg.
