On April 20, 2015 an historic event took place in Champagne: Handmade Vintage Sparkling wines gathered together to present to an international audience their vision of excellence. The owners of Raventos, Ca' del Bosco, Gusbourne and Domaine de la Taille aux Loups were invited by Champagne Henri Giraud to explain all the work that goes on behind the scenes to create Handmade Vintage Sparkling wines. This long road of humility will be the topic of a film.

"Champagne should be the locomotive of sparkling wines around the world," said Maurizio Zanella, owner of the Italian Ca' del Bosco estate. "But right now this locomotive does not always go at the speed we would like it to." This conclusion reached by major names in Handmade Vintage Sparkling wines inspired those attending this historic day at Champagne Henri Giraud and gave rise to the idea for a film through which they would tell their stories. Each tale is different, each one filled with pitfalls, doubts and joy, but always with the same goal in mind: Excellence. The film Handmade Vintage Sparkling: The path of humility takes us through England, Spain and Italy but also France where the spectator will be invited into the private universe of those who, today, have a vision of Excellence in the world of Handmade Vintage Sparkling wines.
