On the 14th of February, at the close of several days of wine tastings held by the Consortium, the ten producers of the “Vignaioli Montepulciano #quelliveriditoscana” Association invited members of the national and foreign press, among others, to the evocative Cripta del Gesù for a special and exclusive event. In addition to the members' Vino Nobile, the protagonists of the evening were products of our territory and their producers, presented in collaboration with Slow Food and prepared by the chefs of the Slow Food Chefs' Alliance; an interpretation of dishes from the kitchens of the Medici.
Every producer presented a vertical tasting from 2015 through 2018 of their Vino Nobile in order to illustrate the path they have taken since they began to hypothesize the foundation of the Association. Following a few harvests that were already in progress, that of 2018 is considered the "zero" harvest. All of these wineries presented it as their wine produced according to the regulations of Vignaioli Montepulciano, regulations that are much more restrictive than those of the Denomination itself.
Among these friends were Piero Di Betto, President of the Vino Nobile Consortium, and Michele Angiolini, Council Member for Production Businesses, who was there as a representative of the Comune of Montepulciano.
Guests also enjoyed a concert given by musicians of the "Giovani Archi Poliziani (Poliziano Youth String Orchestra) of the ISTITUTO DI MUSICA H. W. HENZE di Montepulciano", travelling on musical notes between Vivaldi, Zani and Corelli.
