Verona, 4 March 2016 – Wines from all around the world at the 50th Vinitaly 10-13 April 2016 (www.vinitaly.com), in the Vininternational, Vinitalybio and Vivit Halls, as well as the executive classes organised by the Vinitaly International Academy and the major wine tastings of Tasting Ex ... press. There are a great many opportunities for contacts with international buyers both on the stands and during the Taste and buy b2b meetings.

Vininternational. Vininternational (Hall 1) is dedicated to international companies and this year the limelight is on Spain: the Espacio España co-organized by Icex (Spanish Institute for Foreign Trade) is home to an impressive group attendance by 18 wine cellars representing all the country's wine-making territories. On the strength of 90 PDO and 41 PGI wines, Spain will highlight more than 20 in Verona, plus numerous IGPs: a great opportunity for people keen to expand their knowledge as well as to talk business. For business meetings and related activities, Spanish exhibitors will have a tasting room and will also take part in a Taste and Buy event - the b2b matching organised by Vinitaly with trade delegations from 30 countries selected by Veronafiere.

Vininternational is also home to cellars and wines from France, Australia, Portugal, Switzerland, United Kingdom, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Serbia and - for the first time - China, while wine cellars from Slovenia and Croatia exhibit once again in Hall 6.

Vinitalybio and Vivit. Foreign companies also among the producers of organic wines at Vinitalybio (this year in Hall 8), with other Spanish, Romanian and French wines; Wines from France again, as well as Argentina and Slovenia, are among the "artisan" wines spotlighted by Vivit (also moved to Hall 8).

VIA tastings. Wine is not only business but also culture at Vinitaly, with increasingly prestigious and unique tastings every year. Tasting events this year include the Vinitaly International Academy executive classes organised by Scientific Director Ian D'Agata, starring the best wines from all around the world. It begins on Sunday April 10 with ten vintages of Pinot Gris Clos Saint-Urbain Rangen de Thann by Zind-Humbrecht, widely regarded as the world's finest Pinot Gris, starting from the legendary 1983 harvest.

Monday 11 sees Alice Feiring reveal the charm of Georgia, while two different walk-around tastings will highlight all the facets of great Bordeaux wines and some rare grape varieties from France. For the first time at Vinitaly (again on 11 April), there will be a tasting of Chinese wines, while Tuesday 12 April sees eight great wines from around the world presented by Jean-Claude Berrouet, universally regarded as one of the three most important oenologists of the last 50 years.

Tasting Ex… press. In collaboration with the most important international magazines, the Tasting Ex ... press wine tasting event this year, among others, proposes a 'boutique' of Australian wine-making (11 April), with wines from Tasmania, Hunter Valley, Adelaide Hills and other wine-making regions of the country, as well as wines from Slovenia and Hungary.

The journey of discovery around the wines of the world on offer at Vinitaly is still amazingly long. The Vinitaly website www.vinitaly.com is constantly updated with the programme of tastings and how to take part in them.
