The 49th Vinitaly will take place on March 22th-25th in Verona Italy, offering wine professionals from 120 countries a comprehensive overview of Italian produce including quality wines, food traditions and innovative technologies: a uniqueness that hallmarks the differences between Italy and the rest of the world. Registrations are already being accepted and activity to promote incoming international buyers is underway, in collaboration with trade associations and wine companies.

In keeping with tradition, the event will again be held alongside Sol&Agrifood and Enolitech - and it is precisely the synergy that has always distinguished the three events that Veronafiere will emphasize to promote, in business terms, the only international trade show capable of providing total vision of the wine and olive oil sectors, from technical equipment through to production.

The aim is to support the wine sector, and the Italian food industry in general, by ensuring new impetus for exports which, despite enjoying positive results in recent years, must still find new outlets to ensure growth and keep ahead of competitors.
"International competition is increasingly stiff," says Giovanni Mantovani, CEO & Director General Veronafiere, "but Vinitaly's experience ensures tangible commercial results." Confirmation comes from a survey into customer satisfaction conducted at the end of Vinitaly 2014: it emerges that, over the four days of the event, 68% of foreign operators – 53,000 from 120 countries out of a total of 155,000 – placed purchase orders, while 73% found new suppliers. The same survey indicates that 97% of exhibitors intends to re-confirm attendance in 2015.

Registrations are already open and seem set to confirm the trend emerging over the last two years, whereby a growing number of companies is investing resources in stands rather than merely continuing to share collective institutional spaces in order to ensure better visibility and expand contacts with buyers in Italy and abroad.

Veronafiere aims to enhance attendance by qualified operators from the most important and interesting international markets and has already begun intensive incoming activity; investments in this area are also being strengthened alongside even closer collaboration with companies and trade associations.

"Thanks to Expo, 2015 will be an important year for Italy and wine and extra virgin olive oil - alongside quality foods - are the driving forces for Made in Italy, yet they could not exist," says Ettore Riello, President of Veronafiere, "without the technical know-how of our best companies. Veronafiere is well aware of this and for this reason has always focused on the simultaneous scheduling of these three event which, while independent, nonetheless complement each other to ensure a unitary image for incoming economic operators from all over the world."

The run-up to Vinitaly 2015 also welcomes wine2wine (www.wine2wine.net), the first wine forum in Italy. Verona 3-4 December will host wine2wine as an occasion for sharing economic information and analysis to encourage growth in the Italian wine production system.
